It's the End of the World as They Knew It
Are the good old days truly the good old days? Happy New Year! What better topic for a new year than that one time the world ended?
Everyone surely remembers how the world ended in 2012 as predicted by the Mayan calendar. It sure seemed like it was ending during COVID
lockdowns in 2020. But hey, we're all still here in 2024!
Let's celebrate and join our hosts as they sift through the prognosticators of the past to learn more about the times when the world was
definitely, without a doubt, going to end. We'll party with the Essenes in the Mediterranean, learn from Martin Luther and his flatulent woodcuts,
and listen while William Miller teaches us about the Great Disappointment. Then we head east to the Dami Mission and circle back on other ridiculous
forecasters of doom, including the legendary, self-proclaimed Jeron "The Amazing Criswell" King.
Look, the doom-and-gloom crowd is bound to be right at some point... but for now, we can all roll our eyes and chuckle at the man in the sandwich board
"the end is nigh!" sign yelling prophecies into a megaphone.
